When my good friend Natalie got engaged to Matt, I was thrilled for her. When the two of them asked me to photograph their wedding day, I knew it would be an absolute favorite of mine. They set the date for February 2, 2013, and I absolutely LOVE winter weddings! Their day was beautiful!
Natalie decided to take a referral from me for her hair stylist, and she booked Casey at Revelation Hair Designs in Moon Township, Coraopolis. Casey has been my stylist since early 2012, and I have always been so thrilled with her amazing work! Needless to say, she did an incredible job with Natalie’s wedding up-do, and several of Natalie’s bridesmaids also booked stylists at Revelation Hair Designs.
Natalie’s bridal party enjoyed the weekend preparing for the big day at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott.
Meanwhile, Matt and his groomsmen “prepared” for the wedding in their own way at the bride and groom’s home nearby.
The Crowning Ceremony took place at the gorgeous St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. The natural light in the church was beautiful, and the ceremony was perfect (except for that one time when the Best Man dropped the rings!). 🙂
Without much time between the ceremony and the reception (and a nice little afternoon snow storm), we stopped near the Old Economy Village in Ambridge to create some formal images in the streets 🙂 This wedding party was an absolute blast.
The limo bus then brought us to the site of the reception, The Club at Shadow Lakes in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. This is one of my absolute favorite venues and the happy couple and their family and friends enjoyed the evening celebrating their new marriage.
Congratulations to Matthew and Natalie Walaan! I’m so grateful to have captured your wedding day and I’m looking forward to capturing future milestones in your life together!
