this is my crew: two great danes, one joyful toddler, and the man who made me believe in soulmates. our older dane, grey, came first (a few years before the husband) and has spent hundreds of hours at my side volunteering as a therapy dog and everyone's favorite gentle giant.
then there’s otto, our second dane and resident wildcard. he’s chaos, comedy, and the dog we regret almost as much as we love. and somehow, running the whole show, is our son alden. he's got the best dance moves around, a deep love for guitars and all things music, and a way of lighting up a room and making everyone smile. his middle name is grey, after our biggie boy, because when a dog is that good, his legacy deserves to live on. our home is cozy and filled with a lot of love and a little chaos, and it’s exactly this kind of real life that inspires how i photograph families and their pets.

hello, hello! i’m charlene, the lady behind the lens. i’ve had a camera in my hands for the past seventeen years (whoa! am i that old?!), but perhaps more importantly: i’m a great dane mama (times two), a human mama to a busy little toddler, and happily married to the very best husband.
from sleepy morning doggie stretches and sunbathing sessions in the yard, to pre-lunch slobbers, toddler giggles, and evening zoomies, i want every fleeting moment documented. that's why i get it - you do too.
we are so lucky to love our dogs and our people, and professional portraits allow small pieces of each season of life to live on forever through artwork that will bring us joy each day.
