michael & trenton | same sex wedding at pittsburgh marriott north

Never in my life have I met two people who are more adored by every single person that they know. I met Michael and Trenton a year ago for their first portrait session with their adorable pups (they’ve since added another to the mix, and I can’t wait to photograph her!). We hit it off immediately since we share an obsession with our dogs, and we became fast friends 🙂

These two are cheerleading coaches, as well as awesome small-business owners, and I’m so grateful to have documented their wedding day, which was such a beautiful occasion to celebrate these two incredible people and their relationship together.

How adorable are these invitations? (I may or may not have helped pick them out) 😉

We dodged the raindrops for a sweet First Look, and I love these quiet moments the grooms shared.During the ceremony, each of them listed reasons they love the other, and I would say that there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd, but I was crying too hard from behind my camera to know if that was true or not. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that was indeed the case 😉During and immediately following the ceremony, a crazy storm was working its way through the area. Instead of heading outdoors for photos right away, we ducked into a conference room and got some intimate portraits.

The skies cleared in time for us to get outside for a bit after all, so we took full advantage of that!

My dear friend Kristen Wynn helped out for a few hours that day, and she was able to get these super fun drone shots!

The rain started up again after a bit, which turned out to be an excellent reason to put this umbrella to use, which I just love.

The uplighting made such an impact on the ballroom at the Marriott – the space looked great and the details were just beautiful.

Cutest cake cutting ever? I think yes 🙂

A choreographed mother-son dance was only fitting for these guys! So much fun to watch!

To two of my favorite people, my best friends, and one of the most perfect couples in the whole wide world, congratulations. I love you guys, and I’m so glad I was a part of your big day! You deserve all the happiness the world has to offer, and I can’t wait to document all of your milestones (and puppies) for all of your days together. <3
