I’ve known Sarah since we were in 5th grade, and I was so excited when she contacted me to photograph her engagement session with Shane. Unfortunately (or fortunately!), I was already booked for the wedding date they had set, but I was able to recommend an awesome photographer that they booked with, and I still had the pleasure of photographing their engagement portraits! Â We decided on a snowy engagement session during those cold winter months… You may or may not have noticed that snow wasn’t so much in our forecast this year, and we didn’t exactly get what we planned for. I remember when Sarah first texted me in January saying, “hmm, I don’t think it’s going to snow at all this winter!” and I just told her we had MONTHS of winter left, and we’d have to get some eventually.
…My bad 😉
Winter in Pittsburgh was very, very mild this year. We had some cold days, we had some sleet/freezing rain storms, but I think I can count on one hand the number of times it snowed enough to accumulate on the ground. When it *did* accumulate, it was usually overnight on a weeknight and the temperature increased enough the next day to melt it all away! Sarah and Shane were not meant to have a snowy engagement session, but with the way these gorgeous spring colors made their photos pop, I’m not complaining! 🙂
Best wishes to you two for your big day this fall, and for the official start of your lives together!
